I substituted blackberries for the blueberries and this dish still turned out delicious!

EXCELLENT coffee cake. I used frozen blueberries coated with a generous amount of flour because the berries at my grocers did not look so hot. I omitted the nutmeg and used only turbonado sugar for the topping, it was great and crunchy until I covered the dish, then it was still good but the great crunch went away.

This recipe is very easy and delicious. The nutmeg in the topping gives this coffee cake an interesting flavor, making it different from other ordinary blueberry cakes. Try this!

I made this recipe to bring into work. It was very simple to make and everyone couldn't stop raving about it. I printed out more copies of the recipe and passed it around the office. Definitely a keeper.
