I made this two days ago and used Famous Dave's Barbeque Sauce, Spicy and Zesty.
My husband was raving about it so much, I tried it too. It was excellent. Yesterday, my husband thawed some chicken thighs and wanted me to make this recipe again. This time, I used a different BBQ sauce. He said they were still delicious...so moist! Today, more chicken appeared, so I taught him the recipe and he made it for himself.
Notes: Use a cast iron skillet, if you can.
After the chicken has browned, place the skillet into the oven. I had to move from "broil" to 450-400 degrees (no 550 on my oven and the time was more like 20 minutes (for the thighs and then an additional 7 minutes with the sauce on one side and then flipping the chicken over, put more sauce and then five minutes more should do it. Let chicken cool in the skillet on top of the stove (will make your clean-up easier. Use coarse salt to "scrape" your cast iron skillet.
