Excellent! Easy to prepare, but make a lot, because they're gone in a heartbeat. I've also used mozzarella instead of fontina, and I think that it's just as good.

This is a wonderful receipe and very easy to make. I'm not going to chop the mushrooms so small next time and use it as a side dish. I used button and crimini mushrooms. I couldn't find shredded Fontina but cut it into very small pieces and it melted easily in the mix. I make my own toasts from a loaf of Italian bread with sesame seeds. Before putting under the broiler, I put a thin slice of Fontina on top. Wonderful receipe. I will make it again and again.

Excellent recipe, extremely easy to make. I only used white button mixed with baby bellas (cremini and guests devoured them greedly, almost had to make another batch before serving a large dinner.

If you love mushrooms this is great! We did this with button and portabella mushrooms and we loved. Also, we didn't buy grated fontina cheese but sliced and put on top. This was even good rebroiled in oven, perhaps even better as I may not have gotten it toasty enough the first time.

This creative recipe has multi uses - such as is, or mixed in pasta or as already mentioned over baked potato, or over french soup, creamed soup, or even over green beans - the list goes on and on depending on your Imagination!
