Jeanette Jenkins, founder and President of "The Hollywood Trainer," is one of the country’s leading fitness professionals, known best for her cutting-edge style, results-driven cross-training techniques, and supreme ability to motivate.

One of 17 experts chosen for Nike Corporation’s Elite Athletes program, Jeanette is in the company of top Olympians and other premiere fitness personalities. A resident expert on the Food Network’s weight loss show "Weighing In," she has also been featured on numerous other television programs including The Jay Leno Show, The Best Damn Sports Show, E! Entertainment Television, Extra, Access Hollywood and Good Day Live. As well, her work has been profiled in such leading publications as In Style, People, Self, Redbook, In-Touch, Glamour, Fitness, American Health & Fitness Magazine, EDiets, Oxygen, Ebony, Heart and Soul, Women’s Health & Fitness, Us Weekly, The Los Angeles Times, The Los Angeles Daily News, Entertainment Weekly, and more.

Her ability to get results is what attracts a client roster that includes A-list actors, professional athletes, swimsuit models, and Hollywood executives. In fact, in addition to working with Taryn Manning and Terrell Owens, Jeanette is credited with transforming Queen Latifah’s physique for her current role in "Beauty Shop". It’s also what keeps her group classes at L.A.’s top fitness clubs jam-packed with celebrity regulars and Hollywood’s hottest bodies.

Her fitness philosophy is simple. "I am passionate about fitness and I try to share that passion with my clients," she says. "I know what it takes to achieve results, but I also want them to have fun, stay motivated and keep them coming back for more."

Growing up in Canada, Jenkins was one of three children raised by a single mother, and fitness is what kept her focused. A natural athlete, Jeanette found a safe haven in sports, one that taught her the value of discipline and team work, and most importantly instilled self confidence and a "can do" attitude.

In addition to having achieved status as a top expert and president of a successful company, Jenkins’ true passion is in reaching out to and inspiring the masses. As the Official Spokesperson for The BET Foundation’s A Healthy BET Campaign, created to address obesity in the African American community, Jeanette lends her expertise to a variety of community events and on-air public service announcements. She is also on the Board of Directors for End Child Obesity, a Foundation that supports youth activity, education and leadership.

Motivating people to lead a healthy lifestyle is important and rewarding for Jenkins and she regularly participates in a variety of other community outreach activities, including NBC4’s Health & Fitness Expo, Revlon’s Run/Walk for Breast Cancer, Sisters Staying Healthy, Women’s Empowerment Expo and several local market health and fitness initiatives. She also contributes monthly health and fitness columns to the National Urban League’s Urban Influence Magazine and to the women’s faith-based publication, Precious Times.

Staying on the cutting edge of new fitness trends, Jenkins is certified in over 15 different fitness specialties including: Metabolic Testing, Fitness and Body Fat Testing, Kickboxing, Pilates, Step, Body Sculpting, Sport Specific Training, Rhythmic/Static Stretching, Boot Camp, Aqua Fitness, Competitive and Learn to Swim, Spinning, Core Training, Yoga, Treadmill Training, Hip-Hop Latin Dance, Weight Training and Hiking. She continues to build her fitness repertoire, developing original techniques of her own and leading classes at Los Angeles and New York’s hottest fitness spots.

In 2002, Jenkins created The Hollywood Trainer, LLC., a venture that draws on her education in Human Kinetics and 12 years of industry experience to bring her techniques and fitness philosophy to the masses. Her product line includes a complete series of fitness videos and other home fitness products.
