Celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck is credited with reviving California's culinary heritage by blending fresh California ingredients and classical French training. His world-renowned restaurant, Spago, is always booked, and he now sells his frozen gourmet pizzas in the grocery store. Thanks to Food TV, viewers can catch a glimpse of this celebrity chef cooking in each episode of his shows Cooking Class and Wolfgang Puck.

Wolfgang Puck’s Background
Wolfgang Puck began his formal training at age 14 and then apprenticed at L'Oustau de Baumaniere in Provence. Wolfgang Puck came to the United States in 1973, and soon became chef/owner of Los Angeles' Ma Maison. He then left French cuisine to open Spago Hollywood on the Sunset Strip. Spago Hollywood earned many awards, including the prestigious James Beard Restaurant of the Year Award in 1994, before closing in 2001. Wolfgang and partner Barbara Lazaroff have opened numerous other restaurants, including the internationally acclaimed Chinois on Main in Santa Monica; Wolfgang's Postrio Restaurant in San Francisco's Prescott Hotel; Granita in Malibu; and Postrio in The Venetian Hotel and Trattoria del Lupo at the Mandalay Bay Resort in Vegas.

Wolfgang Puck has written numerous cookbooks, including Modern French Cooking for the American Kitchen, The Wolfgang Puck Cookbook, Adventures in the Kitchen with Wolfgang Puck, Pizza, Pasta and More! and Live, Love, Eat.

Wolfgang Puck’s TV Cooking Shows
In each episode of Cooking Class, celebrity chef Wolfgang Puck hosts a personal cooking class, covering one subject in depth, from grilling to sautéing. Wolfgang Puck, his other successful show, has viewers seeing how Wolfgang does everything related to preparing food—from making goat cheese in Napa or fishing for prawns in the Pacific.
