When it's hot outside we want to cool off inside. One great way to do that is with a refreshing summer drink. And what's better than a fruit smoothie recipe or summer punch recipe to get you on your way to chilling out with a delicious fresh summer drink?
How to make a Smoothie
There are really about as many fruit smoothie recipes as there are combinations of fruits. Whether you prefer a light fruit smoothie like strawberry, banana, orange juice blended with ice, or you want to indulge in a rich smoothie of peanut butter, vanilla ice cream and milk, you're sure to find a smoothie you love. The best part about them is that they are simple to makegenerally, you just toss all of the ingredients into a blender and mix them together. Many companies also offer blenders specifically made for smoothies that have convenient dispensers on the glass jar.
Refreshing Punch Recipes
Making a refreshing summer punch can be a delightespecially if you're hosting an outdoor summer get-together. And just like with the smoothies, there are so many punch recipes, you're bound to find more than one you'll love. The Food Network's Donna Dooher has a simple punch recipe for Champagne Apricot Punch; Sandra Lee has a simple but delicious punch recipe for Apple Pie Punch; and Paula Deen, the queen of Southern hospitality, features a punch recipe for, what else, Southern Comfort Punch.
