Nuts & Dried Berries
Along with drinking plenty of fluids, golf sensation Jordan Spieth munches on a mixture of dried berries, sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds, cashews and almonds while he’s out on the course.
Other golfers agree that food is vital for performance. Charley Hoffman says, “if I don’t eat right, I don’t feel right.” Hoffman reaches for healthy snacks like bananas and Kingmade beef jerky for long days on the golf course.
Katie Cavuto, M.S., R.D., is the dietitian for the Philadelphia Phillies and the Philadelphia Flyers. For on-the-go snacks, Cavuto recommends easy-to-pack bars like Nature's Path Qi'a Superfood Bars, made with nuts, coconut, dried fruits and seeds. They’re packed with nourishing, organic ingredients that are energizing and satiating.

Royals first baseman Eric Hosmer’s favorite snack is a creation from sports dietitian Mitzi Dulan. Her recipe for Honey-Peanut Butter Protein Energy Balls has become a team favorite. She has been making lots of these lately, and it seems to be paying off, as the Royals won the 2015 World Series.
Professional boxer Andre Berto indulges in gelato and it sounds like he has become quite the connoisseur. When asked why he likes the creamy confection, he says it's “because the ingredients are better and the flavor is sooooo profound!” Everyone should enjoy snacks this much.
