Our All-Time-Best Margaritas

When it comes to classic cocktails, margaritas are one of our favorites. They’re fresh, tangy and just the right amount of citrusy—perfect for serving alongside everything from chips and guacamole to authentic Mexican fare. Better yet, you don’t need many ingredients to make a good drink; as long as you’ve got Triple Sec, fresh limes and some top-shelf tequila you’ll be sipping on one in no time. There are lots of ways to riff on the original, including delicious non-alcoholic versions and fun techniques for mixing up frozen margaritas (we’re looking at you, ice cream maker margs!) but we can’t deny that sometimes the simplest recipes are the best—which is why this 4-ingredient recipe is our go-to. You can’t go wrong with the simple blend of tequila, lime juice, orange-flavored liqueur and sugar. Just add some coarse salt to the rim of your glass and you’re ready to say, 'cheers'.
