Try using chili flakes or hot sauce instead of sage. For sweetness, add finely diced apple instead of maple syrup.
Try toasting rolls and topping a half of each with a piece of your favorite cheese, such as pepper jack or Swiss.
Serve these traditional sandwiches with any or all of these garnishes: shredded lettuce, tomato slices, lemon wedges or your favorite hot sauce.
For a fancier presentation, I serve the banger mix in the bottom of small individual cast iron bakers with the bangers cut to fit and then topped with the cabbage mash. When I’m ready to serve, I top each with a pat of butter and warm in a 400 degree oven until warmed through.

Add a pinch of cinnamon to the stuffing mixture before filling the chops.

To add a nice crunch, try chopped toasted walnuts in the sauce.
Instead of buttered noodles, try white rice, potatoes or my favorite — toast. I love to change this up by adding two tablespoons of Dijon mustard to the sour cream.
