    Just arrived in Glendale and after seeing Haus Murphy's a few months ago was anxious to try it out. WAS NOT A DISAPPOINTMENT the mushroom soup was TO DIE FOR AND JUST GOT BETTER FROM THERE WITH OUR MEAL AND STRUDLE TO END IT ALL. THANKS GUY AND DINERS, DRIVE-INS & DIVES FOR BRINGING THESE PLACES TO OUR ATTENTIONS. what a treat for the taste buds.

    I visited this restaurant today (3 Nov., 2012. Although there were very few people eating at 3:00pm, it still took a while for them to get to me. I watch many of the service people congregating and talking with one another, completely ignoring me. Once they took my order the food came relatively quickly. Upon tasting it I realized why--it appeared to have already been dished up (or so it seemed. The food was cold(ish with a tepid gravy poured over it. I would have said that it was kind of like eating leftovers that had been left out on the counter. I lived in Europe for years and have eaten and enjoyed lots of German cuisine, so it wasn't the style of food, for sure. Half way through eating I got quesy and decided to leave. I waited for someone to take my money so I could go home. No one ever showed up again. I waited approximately 20 minutes and finally left the money on the table and went out.

    We thoroughly enjoyed the food, German beer, and atmosphere at Haus Murphy's while on vacation in Phoeniz, AZ. The servers were very friendly, and told us October is especially fun with an "Oktoberfest" event in the courtyard, (I would check the restaurant's website for the dates. Another fun surprise was the Oompa Band at night! If you're not sure you'd like German food, this is the restaurant to try!
