We were down from Seattle and looking for a dinner style breakfast before we headed out to explore the Camp Pendleton area. Food was solid, coffee hot, black and lots of it. SOS stuck with us all day. It's not the Ritz but no one said it was.
FYI to those who comment without going there. Please don't

Went last Saturday with the Mrs., after seeing it shown for 2nd time. As an Army combat vet I always loved SOS. Went wearing my 25th ID cap, no one even acknowledged me as a dog face. Place was packed, prices OK, waitresses show no personality or interest but, really enjoyed the SOS on aluminum tray although 3 pieces of toast we 1 to many. Will I drive 20 miles and do again? Probably.

Well I clicked in here because recommending to my son, an ex Marine (no such person really, who lives in Huntington Beach try it out. But I understood watching the show that the Marines meet there on Tuesday mornings, not Thursday? My son has been a major restauranr Districr Manager for many yeras so aside from going there as a Marine, he will be a good judge of food, service, etc. So we'll see what he thinks once has been there.
