The World Famous St. Elmo Shrimp Cocktails have been giving Indianapolis visitors like Ray Lampe, aka Dr. BBQ, a kick in the jaw for nearly 107 years. The special cocktail sauce smothered over giant shrimp gets loaded with horseradish. The equally tasty signature filet mignon, luckily, does not.

One of the few restaurants where you will see all levels of attire from formal to flip flops. The service is excellent and the food equally so. Be warned. If you order the lobster it will ruin lobster everywhere else. Once you have their lobster, you know how it is supposed to taste. Well worth the money.

St. Elmos is a must visit steakhouse if you are in Indianpolis. Food is great and the wine selection is extensive. Order the shrimp cocktail. You won't regret it. The cocktail sauce is heavy on the horseradish, so if you don't like your sauce strong, you may not like this one.
