OK......I was a rookie. It's like walking into a combination of a neighborhood Italian corner store, Zabar's and a cafe in Roma! The gal working the open hearth gas fired pizza oven is up there with Michael Angelo. The breads are incredible big flavors with light crispiness of the steamed oven. Homemade meats and wonderful cheeses knock you off your feet. The deli counter has endless meats, cheeses, peppers, olives, etc. Even a freebie pistachio cannoli on this day!
NOTE! For sit-down service, grab a menu at the deli counter, then take is past the fresh produce, wines, Italian artisan beers, espresso soda, etc. to the counter and pay. Take your table tent/sign to the table and have wonderful meal. Hey....bring a cooler, you'll be packing. Wine by the glass available. The staff makes you feel like family not intimidating, even on our first visit. Worth a trip way out of the way, but it's only 2 1/2 miles off of I-95.
