The Porthole closed in October 2012. It had been cited for health code violations--rat infestation.

Was very dissappointed... The waitress told us that Guy was there 2 years ago and since then the cook had left... There were 4 choices for entrees. The fish was fresh, what there was of it.... small portions. wouldn't go back, nothing special...

Ah, the unique smell of the waterfront made this the perfect stop for lunch. We had the Lobster Roll, and it came out fresh and chilled. With per pound Lobster costs down so much this summer, the price for the amount of meat we got on our roll was steeper that we thought. Oh well, this 80 year old place and food were very satisfying, and would go back again to try other things.
