Just checked out Price's Chicken Coop. It was the best fried chicken I've every had. Coating is light and crispy. Got the gizzards - pretty good, well seasoned, but the chicken is the star for sure. Service was really nice, even though it's busy they are quick.

A small take out joint on the outskirts of downtown Charlotte where there is always a line out the door trying to get in. Though their name says chicken, they have a Perch dinner that is just awesome; my personal favorite. A lot of places that have been in business for a long time have changed ownership several times, but not Price's. I have frequented this place for over 30yrs and the same faces are there today that were there in 1980. Also their portions haven't gotten smaller like some of the other places.
