This was our first time here so I wanted to really sample the menu. For appetizers we had the Gumbo, Crawdad fritters and ostyers on the half shell. The ostyers were delicious. I had the catfish and grits. Out of this world! Being from the south I'm not a stranger to good grits. These were the best ever. The catfish with mushroom ragout sauce was absolutley some of the finest food I have ever had. Spouse is not a fan of spicey food so she had the fried catfish with sweet potato fries. She rated it better than average. For desert we had the sweet potato pecan pie and the bread pudding. Both were delicious and a wonderful way to finish a great meal. Sevice was excellent plus we got to speak with Lola. What a nice lady. This was the last DDD experience for this trip and appropriately was also the best. Not a moderate check but well worth the splurge. We will definitely come back next time in Vegas.

The food, the service, the frienleness was fabulous. We started with crab cakes, barbequed oysters great. The catfish and grits should be illegal they were so damm good. We had three mdifferent deserts my particular favorite being sweet potatoe pecan pie. I will visit Lolas's as often as possible.

Went to Lola's Saturday before SuperBowl 2013. One of the best dining experiences I have ever had. Small place (15 tables or so, reservations recommended or do like I did and sit at the bar. Lola ( aka Beth has such and warm, inviting, joyful personality. She was a real treat to sit and talk to. For the food, had crawfish puppies and crab& artichoke dip for appetizers. Both were great. Entree had the jambalaya with shrimp; excellent! For dessert, had bread pudding with bananas foster topping. Normally, not a big fan of bread pudding or bananas foster but thought would give it a try. Unbelievable!!!! I would recommend it to anyone with any kind of sweet tooth. All in all great place, great food and great setting. Only piece of advice if you don't want to wait, get reservation because they do get busy. Usually a really good sign.

We went to Lola's Sept 2012 and were not disappointed! The food was fantastic and service was top notch! Our waiter was very attentive and super friendly. It is a very small place so you do have to have a reservation but it's so worth it! I loved the atmosphere! If you like dessert you must get the bread pudding/bananas foster dessert! Super yummy!

The 2 Stars are for the food. It's good.
The place is small and they have jammed in way too many tables. You are uncomfortably close to the next diner. You will be able to clearly hear the conversations at every table bordering yours.
The service is unprofessional and only borderline sincere. Don't be in a hurry. It takes a while for you to get your food.
There are much better DDD reviewed restaurants in Las Vegas. Find one!

Was in Vegas for the 4th of July and made a special trip to check out Lola's. We were not disappointed : We chose the shrimp and grits and the blackened catfish po boy - both of them scrumptious and worth the trip off the strip. A little hard to find and you should make reservations as it's a bit small and fills up quickly. Apparently, the locals know there's good food here.

We dined here Saturday, June 16th, .. reservations at NOON. It was busy and bustling place. Food was excellent except the soft shell crab po boy my husband ordered. Not a good eat once you get past the legs and move into the body of the sandwich.

He will try something else next time we visit.
