As an Irish Pub it is exactly what you would expect. Nice little place, ambiance is good, nice bartender. The food though.... I went here because when you travel to Buffalo you have to have a beef on weck sandwich (and wings of course. There is a place that I have gone to for years, but I thought I would try Blackthorn because of the episode I saw on DDD. I was disappointed. It is not a terrible sandwich, but it is certainly not the best in the area; not even close. In fact, after paying my bill I went directly to my usual place for a proper sandwich. To be fair, I cannot say anything about the other food there, but if you are looking for the best beef on weck in the Buffalo area this is not the place for you.

A nice quiet little Pub that serves excellent food. It's has a dimly light interior that sets the mood for an Irish ambiance. This place has several flat screen TV's and a great full service bar with friendly bar tenders.
