John's of 12th Street

At 103 years old, John's of 12th Street is a hidden Italian gem in NYC. According to Guy, the Marsala wine in the tender all-veal meatballs gives them a little sweetness that pairs well with the savory marinara. Guy found the Tuscan Ragu over Homemade Pappardelle to be irresistibly delicious.

The food, service and ambience beyond reproach. Guy had a show on the veal meatballs. We went to NYC just to dine there. Worth the trip!

One of the worst meals we have ever had - The showcase meatballs were so bland that no amoubn of salt and pepper could help them and the texture - reminded me of that pink slime I have been reading about. The lemon veal doesn't taste like it. Good service though!!!! Guy, get it together. We went to a few of the places in Buffalo which were not much better
