Although Pete & Sam's has a loyal following for the toasted ravioli, Hungry Girl Lisa Lillien can't stop dreaming of their pulled pork pizza. Any good Memphis citizen will tell you the South is known for pulled pork, and Pete & Sam's pizza, drizzled in barbecue sauce, is no exception.

I made many jokes about Olive Garden having the worst Italian food, and after eating at Pete & Sam's, I owe the Olive Garden an apology. Pete & Sam's is the worst. The food, the service, the facility, and the prices were all substandard. People at my table offered their food to others because it was bad. I had eggplant parmigiana. I chipped off the burned sections blacker than my car tires. It was the most repulsive eggplant parmigiana and was so soggy, it could have been a soup. The entire bottom was black and burned. This was my fourth time there, and there'll not be a fifth. They are a Memphis landmark, which should mean nothing to you when rating a dining experience and especially the food and service. They have a cult following to continue giving them business. They are a complete waste of time and money to eat there. But if you want to support them just because they are a Memphis landmark, go for it. I just recommend you eat first and don't expect much from the service.
