I went there 2:30pm 1/14/2013. The restaurant is cafeteria style. It's a southern dive version of a Boston Market. The southern vegies are wonderful - like Cracker Barrell used to be before they went all health-nut on us. The Liver & Onions were sold out and people continued to ask for it, so I suppose they are good. The creamed corn was made with non-organic milk (not cream, but were very tasty. The green beans were wonderful. The baked apples were OK. The best vegi was the butternut squash casserole. Yum! I also had off-the-bone sliced roast beef which was perfection. The cornbread was fried in a pan and looked like a pancake as it ought to be. The other breads were very nice. The price was reasonable. For dessert my friend had the chololate meringue pie: the meringue was very nice; the chocolate filling was like brownie batter; the crust was not good. I would definite go back for the meat and vegies.

Very long line. The sign said that the line moves quickly...NOT!
The food was okay at best. Nothing bad, but nothing worth going back for.

We were here in May while in town for a concert at the Ryman. Line was long, but moved quickly. Staff was so friendly. They rearranged tables to accommodate our family of 5. Food was so good. The roast beef was very tender! Pies are awesome!
