Sorry Guy but you totally missed the boat on this one! I'm from the Detroit area where there are many authentic Italian restaurants and Savarino's is no comparison. Had the chicken with prosciutto with asiago cheese and it was terrible. My kids had the pizza and wouldn't eat it because it was so greasy. The gelato was decent and that's about it.

Meh! Went there after our first Triple D choice, Arnold, was closed. We had the calamari stuffed peppers, spaghetti and meatball and chicken with prosciutto, only fair. Desserts only slightly better and not worth the calories. So many better places in the neighborhood. Service very slow and wasn't crowded. Not sure how this was a DDS recommendation.

The food (I got lasagna with meat sauce was pretty good, although almost too much spice. The sauce had grease floating on it (from cheese maybe?. BUT, the service was sloooww. There was only 2 other people in the place while I was there (2 pm on a Tuesday and it took 35 minutes to get my order, I was about two minutes from walking out when they finally brought my food. So, my main complaint is how long it took to get my order and all the grease. Going by the food I got I'm going to assume the rest of their stuff is okay. I will not be returning.
