This 71-year-old family-run fried chicken dive is now teaching the fourth generation the secrets to its craft. Guy loved the crunch and seasoning of the fried chicken dinner, which comes with a breast, a thigh, a wing and a long leg, as well as hush puppies, fries, coleslaw and potato salad.

The chicken is delicious. Very juicy and cooked throughout!! Wish it was a little crispier and I agree with the "limp fries". I like the fact that it is take out only. The service is great, the drinks have crushed ice and I have yet to see too many eateries that could not use a good cleaning. I am a tad bit OCD and I have no problem going there for a good "take out" fried chicken meal.

classify as a dive; testimonies indicate the place has been around for 50 years or more ... looks like it - not very clean; take-out only; we were on the road so chicken breast sandwich meals; chicken was homemade - crispy and tasty; sandwich came with 3 pickles and a packet of mayo (couldn't spring for a tomato or lettuce? slaw was creamy with good taste; hush puppies were home made with good taste; fries were home made but were soft and limp ... not very good; baked beans were a bit bland for all the ingredients in them - sausage, onions, green pepper, bacon; would not go out of my way to pick up food there but would stop for take-out if driving by.
