The seafood at the Beach Pub is always fresh and always delicious. Guy was crazy about the oysters Rockefeller, which were topped with spinach, bacon and feta cheese. The fish hash, an 80-year-old family recipe, also impressed Guy with its tang from the onions and richness from the bacon.

We visited this restaurant over a weekend in VA Beach recently and chose it based on the fact that it was on DDD. The staff were friendly, but my husband and I were both VERY disappointed by the food. I ordered the crab cakes and he ordered the stuffed flounder. His fish had so many bones in it that it was inedible and had to send it back. Instead he ate the fried seafood platter. This was slightly better, but he said it didn't have a lot of flavor. My crab cakes were just a little bit of the crab meat mushed together with just breadcrumbs and water (my assumption based on the lack of flavor. There were no seasonings or veggies in the cakes and no sauce came with them. Completely FLAVORLESS. Not to mention that they were deep fried instead of pan fried. YUCK!!! We also noticed that 3 tables next to us were complaining about their food as well. I can't believe that Food Network and Guy would put their name on a place like this.

We visited Virginia Beach over the Labor Day weekend and it was busy. I went online ahead of time to find a triple D place to eat (and to read the reviews and we were not disappointed. Two of us had the fried rockfish sandwich and one had the fried soft shell crab sandwich. I am not a big fish eater but did enjoy the rockfish and would get their fried soft shell crab sandwich. Plus the prices were great.

This was a great place!! I had the bacon cheese burger and my husband had the famous fried rockfish sandwich. Everything was fresh and hot, the fish was just wonderful. The broccoli salad was to die for. The service was excellent. We will be repeat customers the next time we are in Virginia Beach..nice job guys!!
