Talk about pedestrian. . . I would have thought that a triple-D showcase would imply the place was overall the bomb. Well, it bombed. Nothing special, weak beer selection, and an unreasonable shortage of salt for a VA Beach restaurant.

Super tasty! We went this past weekend and people were lining up out the door. My Club Sandwich was AMAZING. My husband got the pork tacos and was in love. Chicken Nachos for an app. and it was huge!!
Portion size is perfect. YUMMY!!!! Service was slow! That's our ONLY compliant.
Hope to go back next time we are in town.

After watching the Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives episode, we decided to go to Flip Flops on one of our day trips to VA Beach. We were extremely excited to go to one of the restaurants that Guy had been at. The atmosphere and the waitress was very nice. The food on the other hand was not great, just average. I got the fish tacos. The fish was very bland. I really couldn't distinguish any specific flavor in the entree. The tortilla was soggy and the dish was overall watery. My daughter got a burger and the sweet potato fries and she said they were pretty good. We also got two appetizers and they were just average like everything else. I was really disappointed because I had high expectations after watching the show. I think the food may be better when it is showed on TV verses what you really get on a day to day basis.
