Friendly place, staff was great. Wife had open face turkey: she ate the whole thing, loved the cranberry chutney. Potato salad was perfect, just a little spice, good crunch, not overwhelming.
Green beans were bland. Baked beans were smoky, almost too much, and not sweet, which I liked.
Slaw was creamy, chunky, and just a touch of spice, an ideal companion to the brisket and the sausage, which was a home run. I don't know much about bbq, but I am going back tomorrow. Oh yeah, the sauces are good, and needed, meat is dry and smoky, and I loved it.

Amazing Burnt Ends Sandwich. My husband and I both ordered one... then went back to the counter and order a pint to take home. Totally worth getting lost trying to find the place. : Will be going back the next time we're in VA Beach.

My husband and I went to Whitner's BBQ, I had the special pulled pork sandwich and my husband had burned tips something both were so delicious. I also ordered 2 bone BBQ, my god the meat was so tender and juicy with the crunch on top , perfect very very very tasty. Their sauces and side dishes were so good too. I certainly will go back.
