Because of the size of the place, and how busy it is, it can take some time to get in (45 minutes for us. However, the wait is well worth it! We had duck confit poutine (excellent, AJ's Compact Turkey Dinner (get the gravy on the side to maintain the crispiness of the coating, which is light... and the taste is wonderful, and Artichoke Melt (great! Amazing food! For dessert, we shared a piece of bourbon walnut pecan pie... terrific! A must-go-to restaurant!!! The only reason for 4 instead of 5 stars is just the wait time.

Comet Cafe was recommended by the locals here in Milwaukee that I am working with this wk, which pegged the first positive. Arrived at 19:00 on a Thursday night, took a seat at the bar where they had over a hundred beers to choose from, wines and the hard stuff. I was seated in twenty minutes and I knew coming in the door I wanted to order what my co-workers had told me about, which was the Bacon-wrapped Meatloaf, Mashed Potato on the side covered in a brown gravy. It was the best I have ever had in my life. Im a southern boy so when I asked if they had biscuits to go with sopping up the awesome gravy I had to settle on a piece of french bread but no matter it got the job done. The staff was very friendly and courteous. I will be eating there again, tonight and yes ordering the same wonderful meal.

Ok, came in for lunch and found out they were running their breakfast menu and a few sandwiches to 3:00 pm. Got the Meat (meatloaf and eggs and was not impressed, the meatloaf I received was from the end of the pan and had a burnt flavor on three sides. Eggs are eggs and the hashbrowns nothing I haven't had at other diners. Unfortunetly was not able to experience the full menu. But I've been to better breakfast diners outside the city.
