Linda Ditch
Linda A. Ditch has been a freelance food writer for almost 20 years. Her interest in food started by watching her grandmother prepare the noontime dinner on the Missouri family farm. As an adult, she lived in New England, where her writing career started with articles in the Boston Globe and Concord Monitor newspapers, and Around Concord, New Hampshire Home, Here in Hanover, Best of Burlington, Image, and Woodstock magazines. She was also senior editor at Taste for Life magazine. After 18 years, she returned to the Midwest, this time “defecting” to the state of Kansas, where she fell in love with its wide open prairie, the rolling Flint Hills, comforting foods, and her late husband, Mike—also known on her blog as The Picky Eater. She settled in downtown Topeka and writes for the Capital-Journal newspaper, KANSAS! Magazine, and Topeka magazine, while still writing and blogging for some of those New England publications.
