"I will eat an entire 21-inch pizza in one sitting if there's no one around to stop me. I love it so much, and I just can't help myself."
The Strangest Thing in His Refrigerator: "Yellow Miso Paste"
"It's my first time using it. I used it recently to make a miso-glazed salmon. It was delicious!"
The Ingredient He'll Never Eat — Well, Maybe Not Never
"Hard to say 'never.' During our first season, there were a few foods that I swore I would never like, but these chefs really convinced me and changed my mind. I'm never really a mollusk guy, but the mussels at Mussel & Burger Bar in Louisville were to die for! That sauce was incredible, and the flavors really popped. Chef Fernando really knocks it out of the park."
His Go-To Late-Night Snack: "Frozen Yogurt"
"I love frozen yogurt. It really is a weakness. I've been trying to cut back lately, but it's tough. We have an amazing place open late in our neighborhood where you pay by the weight, and we just load it up with brownie bites and candy and fudge topping."
The Dish He Orders Out and Doesn't Cook at Home: "Lamb"
"I love lamb, but it takes such finesse to really make it stellar. It's so easy to overcook. I try to leave it to the professionals."
One Must-Have Dish at His Last Supper: "My Mom's Nachos"
"They're super salty, smothered in Velveeta and made with Nacho Cheese Doritos. They're, like, 1,000 percent of your daily sodium intake, but I grew up loving them and couldn't imagine having a last meal without them!"
His Favorite Food City: A Local's Louisville
"So far on our travels, Louisville has been my favorite food city, and I'm from Philadelphia; so that definitely says something. Even the food we had "off-show" was exquisite. One of the best pizzas I've ever eaten was in Louisville at this local chain called Boombozz."
