Rachael always says when you’re traveling, if you want to feel like a local, you gotta find the spots where the locals hang. Her picks in this episode are all based on talking to the natives in whatever city you’re visiting. First we’ll follow the trails out to the Southwest and check out some restaurants in Santa Fe, N.M., Tucson and Jerome, Ariz., that Rachael’s found that are off the beaten path. Then she takes us to her hometown in upstate New York to a few of her local favorites. After that she takes us to some great New England restaurants that give locals a reason to put up with the winters.
