One-Week Winter Game Plan: Grocery List

These are the items you'll need to make all 5 delicious wintertime dinners

Note: Total amounts needed for certain ingredients are stated in parentheses, just in case you already have these items in your kitchen and do not need to buy them.

12 medium carrots

1 bunch fresh cilantro

Celery (1 stalk)

Light green cabbage (1/2 head)
2 lemons
1 orange
1 Gala apple
1 bunch scallions

Meats, Poultry and Fish
4 skinless, bone-in turkey thighs
4 ounces bacon
½ pound coarsely chopped beef (chili grind)
4 6-oz. cod or other white-fleshed fish fillets

Spices and Condiments
Ground allspice (1 teaspoon)
Ground cumin (1/2 teaspoon)
Honey (2 teaspoons)
Brandy or Red Wine (1/3 cup plus two tablespoons)
Bay leaves (1)
Mayonnaise (1/2 cup)
Apple cider vinegar (2 tablespoons)
Whole-grain mustard (5 tablespoons)
Caraway or celery seed (1/2 teaspoon)

Pantry Goods (herbs, spices, breadcrumbs, seeds, oils, nuts, canned goods, etc)
2 15.5-once cans chick peas
1 29-oz can whole peeled tomatoes
1 15-oz can plum tomatoes
Dried apricots (1 cup)
Golden raisins (1/2 cup)
Tomato paste (1 tbsp.)
1 16-oz can low-sodium chicken broth
1 pkg. vacuum-packed gnocchi
4 10-inch flour tortillas

Cheese and Dairy
8 oz. pepper or Monterey jack cheese ( 1 1/3 cups shredded)
Eggs (1 large egg)
