excellent. I have made this for many events. Most favored in the morning by my snowboarding buddies prior to getting on the mountains. Gratitude to you.

I make this recipe for my son about once a month. He loves it. The biscuit recipe is definitely the highlight because of the taste and relative ease of preparation.

I only gave it a three because I did not make the gravy. I was looking for a biscuit recipe. This biscuit turned out very good. Did not rise. Extremely buttery. It was so buttery, that I didn't even want to put my own sausage gravy on it because it would have been too much, too rich, too much fat.
These would be good with come jelly on them or just by themselves. Might try 1/2-n-1/2 with shortening next time. (disclaimer - I didn't read any previous reviews

I used this biscuit recipe and it was terrific! Only gave it 4 stars because of the slight modifications I made which made fluffy, butter, moist biscuits. I used a full cup of butter (2 sticks and I added a tablespoon of vinegar and then enough milk to make it a cup to make a substitute for buttermilk. I didn't have heavy cream so I brushed the top of the biscuits with half and half and it worked perfectly. they were the best biscuits I ever tasted - even my husband agreed!
As a side note - I used Alton Brown's Sawmill Gravy recipe for an authentic southern gravy and bisuits breakfast

I don't like gravy, but my husband loves biscuits and gravy, so I tried this recipe and it was pretty good. It is certainly not a traditional gravy flavor, which I liked, but it threw my husband a bit. I used store-bought biscuits, which worked out fine, and it was delicious, we will make this again.

Okay I have to admit I didn't make the biscuits, I used store-bought. But the gravy was amazing. I did add a tablespoon of flour to help thicken it. It is incredibly rich and heavy though, after eating just one biscuit with gravy I felt like I had eaten a brick. But it was still incredible, and very easy to make.

I'm VERY picky about my buscuits and gravy, and this recipe was by far my favorite! It's very sweet, but it's also spicy, and you can make it spicier by just adding extra hot sauce and pepper. The gravy was a bit thin, but adding a little arrow root, made it just right. ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!!!

This is a very sweet version of biscuits n gravy. Not like a traditional salty biscuits and sausage gravy. I liked it a lot, but expect something different, almost dessert-like in sweetness and richness.

Not Close to ANY sausage gravy I have ever eaten. I have been making and eating sausage gravy for 60 years. This is by far the worst I have ever tried to eat.
