Love this recipe as a side dish with chicken marsala or any type of chicken dish. I have used sweet onions if I don't have shallots fresh from my garden and it's just as good. I use bow-tie pasta, regular. as I don't like whole wheat. I use about 3/4 pound pasta but do not change any other quantities. My whole family loves this pasta recipe.

This is a very tasty recipe. I added some black beans, garlic, yellow bell pepper, red pepper flake, sweet and smoked paprika. This dish is nice and light and makes a great vegetarian meal!

I halved the recipe and it was a perfect amount for my husband and I.

    Super tasty!

Unfortunately this one was not one of our favorites. We followed the recipe, but found this very bland. Perhaps our shallots were not as big as Rachel used during the presentation and that is why, but we would not make this again. We love Rachel's recipes, but this one was disappointing.

Light and refreshing. Something a little different. My husband loved it.

I made this for my husband and a couple of his friends from work and everyone would not stop raving about how amazing it was! I threw in some italian meatballs I got from the freezer section. I got ALOT of attention for making this. I never reviewed a recipe before now, but it was worth me registering for the website to post my review.

Very Tasty. I like the lightness of the meal and the shallots give it a very subbtle enjoyable taste

Wonderful! Definitely would work as a side dish. Or make a main dish by adding veggies or chicken. The serving size is 2 cups.

Again Rachael hits a home run. To me this is an excellent side dish but can also be a light on it's own thing if you just want some pasta. The sweetness of the shallots with the nuttiness of the whole wheat pasta was great. I put it with a grilled ribeye and had the pasta instead of french onion soup and steamed some fresh brocolli florets for my green. For those that didn't like it I think you were looking for a strong main dish pasta. This is new and different and light.
