I have to agree with the others who didn't like this recipe. This recipe probably needs two cups of milk and less sugar. I had to throw the batter out because the interior of the pancakes weren't cooking.

I don't understand what everyone else had a problem with. I sifted my dry ingredients together, mixed all the wet ingredients and added to the dry. I did use more milk, probably close to another cup to get the batter to the right consistency which was thicker like a brownie batter. My pancakes came out fluffy, light, and buttery melt in your mouth. I could see where one might want to add more salt but it seems to me America could stand to lighten up a bit on it too. I would say if your pancakes didn't come out it was something you did and not the recipe. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed these. Thanks for the recipe.

I would rather have given this recipe no stars! The batter is extremely thick. Clearly no one has tested this recipe at food network. I tried to make these for Father's Day and even after adding a lot more milk it was still more like a biscuit batter. I finally threw the whole batch out and used a different recipe. Don't waste your time with this one. What a waste of fresh blueberries!

I'd rather give this one no stars...too thick (we also added another cup of milk and they still burned on the griddle...(insides not done I feel ripped off by wasting the ingredients and my time. Please either test and adjust this recipe or take it down. We had to throw them all out and start over with cereal.

Way too much flour and not enough salt. Not light and fluffy at all. Will have to adjust the recipe before serving therm again. Glad I did not make the when company was over... Very disappointed as I too agree did they really try the recipe they posted?

The pancakes taste great, however some changes had to be made. As someone else already mentioned, the batter was more like cookie dough. The amount of liquid called for in the recipe was not nearly enough. I ended up adding at least 3/4 cup more milk. Even then it wasn't the consistency of heavy cream as the recipe suggested. Makes you wonder if this recipe was actually tested. That aside, the flavor was really good and I will make them again.

We didn't have any eggs so while i I mixed up the batter, my boyfriend ran to the market for eggs. When he finally got back (after stopping at a garage sale I was able to finish putting the recipe together. The consistency of the batter was really thick and i burned the hell outta the first one. So we added more milk, then more milk, then more milk, and luckily decided only to put a few berries in at a time. We made only two and they were lacking, probably in salt, and maybe a some sugar, but with lots of syrup, we were able to get most of the pancakes down. Lesson learned? READ THE REVIEWS first! Definite Thumbs Down on this recipe!!!

This recipe called for WAY too much flour. I'm in the process of cooking them and it's seriously making me so mad. I already knew in the beginning that it just wouldn't work with all these dry ingredients so when i rinsed my blueberries I let some of the water sit for a minute, and poured in a little bit of blueberry water, it added some more flavor too. I got done cooking and they taste good, I added more salt too. And also, adding temperature over medium to the recipe isn't a good idea, since the pancakes are so thick, and not thin you need a lower flame/temperature so it can cook inside the middle. If not they'll just burn quickly since the temperature is so high, and turn out raw like my first batch did..

Why bother to post an untested recipe? The batter came out looking like cookie dough, so I added probably 3/4 cup of milk. It still looked thick. I even made muffins with it. The pancake were o.k. But doing it without a recipe at all would have had the same result.
Shame on you, food network.

This dish was really good. The only thing I changed is I did not fluff the eggs.
It was sweat and a good and easy thing to cook.
