All the 5-star reviews on here clearly are just giving 5-stars to blueberry pancakes in general. A recipe is supposed to not be "way off" in terms of the measurements. Too much sugar, not even close to enough milk = terrible recipe!
All pancake recipes are going to use milk, sugar, butter, flour... so why this one gets 5-stars for not being even close to the right proportions is beyond me.
Here's my pancake recipe:
-10 cups flour
-5 cups sugar
-1/2 teaspoon milk
-3 cups salt
-1 egg
-2 cups baking powder
Note: The measurements might be a little bit off, but once you make the adjustments, they're amazing!

As some other reviews have mentioned, a LOT more milk was needed, the sugar can be cut back considerably. This could be a good recipe to start with, if you want to work on your own signature blend, adding citrus zest or different berries or fruit.
I added an additional cup+ of milk and still felt the batter was too thick.

BEST blueberry pancakes I have ever had. I did have to add a lot more milk.

These pancakes were weird. The texture was unlike any that I've ever had in a pancake, and not in a good way.

This pancake recipe is very sweet. I would recommend cutting the sugar down if you don't like sweet pancakes, but it works really well with the tartness of the blueberries. I had to use more milk than the recipe recommended because it was too thick, but overall the whole family loved the flavor.

My husband and I love this recipe. It's great to be able to control how much sugar goes into our breakfast, as the pancakes don't seem to need the full amount of sugar recommended. We don't even buy pancake mix anymore. It's definitely worth a try.

This was a good and easy pancake recipe with or without the blueberries. The milk measurements are way off. One other reviewer had this problem as well. I just kept adding more milk to the consistency that I wanted. I did not measure the milk. Other than that is was good.

These pancakes are the most delicious I've ever made (and I can't cook. I would follow the other reviewers and add another cup of milk... and add 10 berries instead of 7.

Only one complaint...you need to double or triple the milk to get the batter to come out right. Several other reviews have pointed the same thing out. Otherwise, it's a good recipe. It's not really a knock on the recipe either because it does indicate more milk may need to be added. However, I think one cup of milk is way short of what is actually needed.

These pancakes were surprisingly easy to make. I did need a lot more milk to get the proper consistency but it was super good. I plan on making these all the time and adjusting what I put in them according to the season. Looking forward to making them again. I had so many left over that we froze the rest and my son still eats them for breakfast weeks later.
