I wish I had read other cooks reviews of this recipe before making it so I would have made the adjustments they suggested. I followed the recipe exactly as written and oh wow what a disaster! I love garlic but 3/4cup just about blew my head off and way too much lemon juice. I will cook more garbanzo beans and try again. The first batch will go into some sort of soup so I do not waste the ingredients. Live and learn as I love Hummus so I will try again with some adjustments.

I know I shouldn't rate something until I've tried it, but I've been making my own hummus for years and this recipe sounds like a disaster waiting to happen. 3/4 cup garlic? Give me a break. LIke the previous reviewer said, take a look at the other recipes and make your own judgment, but I'd say for 4 cups of garbanzo beans 8 cloves would be plenty. WAY too much lemon juice (I use half a lemon per can of beans, but even a whole lemon per can wouldn't come close to a cup and I'd say too much tahini as well, but that may be debatable. Just my two cents.

This hummus recipe is a keeper. I used less garlic and tahini (to taste. The food processor make it easy to prepare.

YUCK! ya know you could have taken a little more time to give directions on this recipe, It looks like you just threw this on the page! can you not see that this was a little much? this needs a definate edit here and oh by the way taking a wisk to mix this would not do the job! come on at least tell people to use a food proccessor, or would that have taken time? no steps to this, advise to look at the other recipies before attempting this one ( don't waste your ingredients here.

This hummus would have tasted much better IF there was less garlic. It was too garlicy to the point--where it was pretty gross.

    1 cup tahini
    1 cup lemon juice
    3/4 cup minced garlic
    1/2 cup canola oil

That is much too much oil and garlic!!
