Recipe not accurate, sausages VERY BLAND!!

Rated: 2 stars out of 5
I was very disappointed with this recipe! First of all, 2 lbs. of sausage doesn't make anywhere near just 4 patties!!! I... halved the amount of meat (1 lb.) and it made 7 good sized patties! But the biggest problem for me was how bland these were. None of the tastes came through at all! I halved the meat BUT DOUBLED THE SEASONING and it was still bland! For one lb. of meat I would reccomed 1.5-2 tsp. sage, 1 tsp. salt, 3/4 tsp pepper, and 3 tbls. (not tsp.) of maple syrup !Read more

    Not bad.

They were good sausages. They didn't get a five because they were a bit bland, and two pounds of meat makes waaaay more than... four sausages! Good, though.Read more

I have tried this receipe and find it taste even better if you add a full teaspoon of sage to the mix. The maple syrup... makes it very tasty and mouth watering. Makes a very good sausage and buscuit sandwhich for children and adults. My husband is a diabetic and this fits right in with his type of food.Read more

While watching this episode I realized that i had all the ingredients in my fridge ready to go so I thought " what the heck,... I will try it for breakfast tommorrow" I made up a batch and cooked it the next morning and was pleasantly surprised. It was pretty good and super easy. I have made it twice and took some to a office breakfast potluck where I got lots of compliments and inquiries about where I got it. When I told them I made it from scratch people where really surpised.Read more
