You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 2 limes, halved then scored
  • 16 to 22 Cuban mint or spearmint leaves, halved
  • 3 to 4 ounces simple syrup
  • 8 to 12 ounces light rum
  • 4 splashes soda water
  • 4 sugar cane sticks, optional

Directions

In each glass, combine 1/2 lime, 4 to 6 mint leaves and 3/4 to 1 ounce simple syrup and crush. Add ice to fill each glass, then add the 2 to 3 ounces of rum to each glass, and shake well. Add a splash of soda water and garnish with a sugar cane stick.

    They don't use corn syrup...they use coarse sugar and use the straw to break it up and mash the mint together in the drink.
