You can create up to five timers

Ingredients

  • 6 eggs
  • 1 cup cream
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  • 12 slices thick bread
  • 2 cups coarsely ground almonds
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • Powdered sugar
  • Sliced seasonal fruit

Directions

Beat the eggs, add the cream, salt, cinnamon and vanilla. Submerge the bread slices in the egg mixture for 5 minutes. Lay both sides of the bread in the almonds to coat. Heat the butter in a heavy pan until the foam subsides, then add the slices of bread. Cook over low flame until delicate brown. Sprinkle with powdered sugar, garnish with sliced fruit and serve hot.

    Very good, made an orange flavored syrup to drizzle over it. Cook it in oil if you are making alot, the butter tends to burn.
