    1/4 cup cayenne is insane. Don't know what they mean by ground sausage. Have never seen Portuguese chourico for sale in this country; Mexican style is no where near, and Spanish is not the same. And the red pepper could be any of hundreds of varieties.

    Maybe I missed something, but I thought this was only OK. It was too"soupy" for me; if I made it again I would saute the pepper, onion, and sausage first to remove some of the moisture and develop more flavor. Also, I like spicy food as much as anyone, but a quarter cup of cayenne seems extreme. I went with about 2 teaspoons.

    I didn't have the linguica but managed w/chorizo only. This was easy and delicious! I've made it several times.

    I ate this at Kitchen Little 2 years ago and it is delicious! When I saw it was on this show I was so excited to get the recipe. It is amazing!!!! I will try it tomorrow morning.
