GENUINE and DELICIOUS!
The recipe is easy. Final cost of all ingredients is affordable, If you enjoy clam chowder, this recipe is a keeper.
Note: The photo shows the chowder being served in a small, round loaf of crusty bread. Fun. Hope anyone can find this type of bread at a local store.

This Clam Chowder has so much flavor, it's just fabulous. I have made it a couple times and have changed it just a little, I only add 4 cups Clam Juice, I substitute the rest with Chicken Broth.

Thought this would not turn out because I had to make a smaller qty. When it was finished, we LOVED it!

I'm not sure what has happened with this recipe, but something has been lost in the translation. I'm a big fan of the clam chowder served at the Santa Barbara Shellfish Co., so I was excited to have the recipe. However, based on the reviews and my own cooking experience, it sounds as though the measurements here are way off. It's a smooth, peppery chowder with a hint of bacon and lots of clams. Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be trying this recipe. But please don't let that stop you from trying the chowder at the Shellfish Co.

I have not made this recipe; however, to my trained cook's eye, if these quantities are indeed correct, the recipe should be entitled: Coronary Disaster. Four sticks of butter for six servings, plus bacon, plus cream, plus an enormous amount of salt . . . has this recipe been tested? I don't think so.
