What I liked about this recipe besides the flavor is the "crispy" factor. It had a great crisp even after syrup had sat on it a while. Yummmmmmy. I've been looking for a great waffle recipe and now I have.
Note: It makes a small portion, so I'm going t double it up next time.

I have tried many waffle recipes before that were ok, so so, or tasty, but not off the charts, homemade goodness. I even resorted to a favorite pancake recipe to try to capture some waffle goodness, but that still didn't hit the mark. I have to say, this one does it! It makes light, fluffy, crispy, sweet waffles that just bring warm smiles to the face. Thanks for posting. It's my new fave!

This is a great waffle! I didn't change anything, except I am glad I doubled it. It was enough for 4.
Who would have thought corn starch in a waffle recipe. Well, it works! This is a keeper.

These waffles are awesome! I didn't change a thing to it. I only doubled the recipe to make extra, popped them in the toaster the next day and they we're fabulous.

By far one of the best tasting recipes out there. With these waffles you could do anything with them in fact I did. I took a wedge of my waffle and wrapped a Spicy Boneless Hot Wing in it and it was out of this hemisphere. Preparation was simple, simple, simple. Do not change the recipe, use as is.

It tastes very good when made but the mix was very runny. I had to add an extra 1/2-3/4 cup of flour.

I have been making these waffles now for several months. They are truly delicious and very easy to make. I make them weekly, saving leftovers to reheat in the toaster. I double the batch (family of four and cut back slightly on the oil. I have an Oster round waffle maker and preheat on the max setting; when ready, I turn the heat dial down midway and cook each waffle for 4 min 28 seconds. It makes a crispy outside, fluffy inside waffle.

Followed the recipe exactly, but made a double batch after learning the first time that it was not enough for a family of three, plus they freeze and reheat well. I didn't have any problem with them sticking in my waffle maker, which is a non-stick Cuisinart. They resemble a funnel cake (which I love!. I put orange marmalade and pure maple syrup on mine and they are delicious. I haven't made waffles in years and have made them four times in the last month because of this recipe. To save for later, I cook them a little less, wrap and freeze, and reheat in the toaster. Excellent!

I love this recipe. I have made a lot of waffle recipes but this is the best. I modify it slightly. I separate the eggs, add an extra egg white, then beat the egg whites with the sugar to soft peaks then fold into the batter. I like to add chopped cooked bacon for a treat. Yum!!
