Tese waffles never fail to impress. I make them whenever we have house guests and that always love them. They tast like funnel cakes! Sooooo good. The runny batter is not an issue at all, the waffles cook up nice and crunchy on the outside and taste amazing. I'll never use a mix again. I'm spoiled now!

WOW!!! This blew me away. Definitely will be repeating. I used buttermilk and definitely recommend this over whole milk.

I read some of the reviews here and gathered that plain milk leads to runny batter, so I reduced the oil to 1/4c and let the milk sit in a little vinegar before using. Batter was still a little runny, but the waffles came out well, imo. Overall, the waffles were flavorless, however, they had a really good crunch. This recipe will make an excellent base for future modifications.

This was the best waffle I ever had. So much better than the restaurants and especially other homemade waffles that I made. So good; when you get a chance make it! It doesn't make a lot; my family of 4 were asking for more so if I were you I would make a bigger batch.

My wife scoffed at me trying a different recipe for waffles. She thought they were fine. But conceded that these were by far better than my cookbook recipe. You should double the recipe at least. One recipe barely served two adults and two 6 year old girls with a standard 8-9 in waffle maker.

I will be honest, I did not make these exactly as directed- I added mashed bananas and chocolate chips. I do this with all of my waffle recipes so I think I can still give an accurate rating for this recipe. OUTSTANDING! I think these are the best waffles I have ever made! I wasn't thrilled about having to let it sit for 30 minutes, I didn't read the recipe ahead and was hungry, but it was well worth it. Easy enough for anyone- if you can operate your waffle iron, you can make these!

Follow the recipe, folks! It's that simple. Also make sure you have the freshest ingredients. I've made this recipe a number of times and my waffles always come out crispy on the outside, fluffy, and tender on the inside. This is the BEST homemade recipe I've ever used. I like my waffles a little sweeter so I do add more sugar and it comes out great! I highly recommend this waffle recipe. Mmmm... now I'm off to make waffles this morning!
