This was my first foray into waffle making and I couldn't have chosen a better one to try. My family loved them. The buttermilk and vanilla taste along with the maple syrup...WOW! And they were easy to make too...so easy even a father can do it on Sunday! I'm sure I will be making these again in the very near future!

I was out of pancake mix and found this recipe. It's light all right, almost like tasting air. Butter, a lot of good syrup, berries, etc are needed to make this tasty. I won't use this recipe again.

EXCELLENT!!! I've been testing buttermilk waffle recipes to use for my new iron, which didn't call for beating the eggs whites separately. It's so simple! I was a little skeptical to try the recipe for the first time for sunday brunch, but after reading the reviews, this recipe is the best out there! My family went back for seconds and thirds. My kids renamed them "Birthday Cake Waffles". The aroma is wonderful and to die for. The waffles are crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. A winner for the kids! I set out fresh fruit (sliced bananas and strawberries, whipped cream, butter, maple syrup and chocolate syrup and let them make their own. They were so delicious I made them the next day. I didn't have time to refrigerate the batter for 30 min, but it didn't make a difference...they turned out just fine!

I am on a search for the perfect waffle and these certainly are not it. Sure, they're light and airy, but the flavor is serious lacking. I love Rachel, but sorry, these are too bland for me.

these are the absolute best waffles i have ever had! the batter was a little thin, but seemes to gain the necessary substance after the 30 minute wait. they are light and fluffy, with a mouth-filling, luscious flavor. they practically melt in your mouth. the best waffles, bar none, in the world!!!!

Since I've grown up eating frozen waffles, I've come to like a crispy outside to my waffles. This recipe fits the bill. The outside cooks up crispy, while the inside is light and oh so tasty! My family loved it!

These waffles were insanely delicious. I covered them with defrosted, heated, mixed berries and a little whipped cream - amazing!
