Made these last night to go with our BBQed steaks and salad and these were the star of the meal! I didn't have Swiss or Gruyere, so I substituted with a mixture of cheddar and Monterey. I also carmelized a sweet onion instead of the scallions. I decided to make two for each person which was a perfect amount. GREAT recipe, SUPER easy to make and easy to substitute ingredients. You can't NOT try this recipe!

Tastes wonderful and is perfect for small families. With this recipe, you can make as little or as much as you want. I rarely make scalloped potatoes because it's too much and we end up wasting a lot of food. I'll definitely make these again. Creamy and full of flavor!

This is a fabulous recipe! I've made it a few times, and everyone raves about my "potato muffins". They're especially nice when I want to plate the dinner instead of serving family style.

What a wonderful idea! I love the idea of the using muffin tins... it looks so special on the plate and they tasted great! Will definitely make these again.

I usually make this but never thought of adding the green onions. They were a great addition. I'll use them always now. I didn't really care for the muffin thin idea. I'll stick to a baking dish.

Delish! I loved that they were quick cooking. They definitely took longer than 5 mins to prepare. I added a little garlic to the cream (made into a paste with a little salt, used yellow onion and Monterey Jack/asiago Parmesan cheeses because that's what I had. Great idea, we will definetely make these again with other variations.

LOVE these! My kids love them too! I use different types of shredded cheese and leave out the onions.

Melissa knocked it out of the ballpark with these potato gratins. I was a little worried the picky eaters in my family wouldn't like them, but I was sure wrong. In a matter of minutes all of the gratins had disappeared. Now, when I say I am making cheesy potatoes my oldest son asks "Are you making those potatoes in the muffin tins?" Definitely a keeper! !

I have made this a few times and get great reviews every time! I add some gruyere in with the swiss for a little tang and also use an 8x10 baking dish. Comes out creamy and cheesy in the middle and nice and crispy on top. So good!

Tip: using a mandolin make slicing the potatoes perfectly, every time!
