    I love these ribs. I usually make them as a main course with mashed potatoes. I use the sauce as a gravy. Then, we eat the sandwiches 1-2 days later. I am showcasing these sandwiches for a birthday party this weekend. I'm making a quadruple batch and throwing the shredded meat in a crockpot on warm to serve on the buffet line. Can't wait for friends and family to try them!

    I cooked this for dinner tonight. It was great! I couldn't find Brioche bread, so I used fresh French bread. Also, I used green Jalapenos because I couldn't find any red ones. Still delicious. It tasted just as good as it looked when Big Daddy was eating it on TV.

    The best short ribs I've ever eaten. This recipe is top-notch. I've cooked short ribs using this recipe twice since viewing the episode. The short ribs were so spectacular that I couldn't prepare it as a sandwich. I served it over rice with a vegetable side dish. My mother loved it. This recipe is a keeper!

    The short ribs "fell off the bone", and was very savory and delicious. The cole slaw is the best I've ever had, I didn't add the jalapenos and it was just delicious. The cole slaw gave the sandwich a wonderful texture. The recipe was easy to follow and the ingredients were easy to find. You have to give this recipe a try, it will not disappoint.

    I had never eaten shortribs before I cooked this dish, but now I'm an addict! They were SO very tender and juicy, we loved them!!! Way to go Aaron- u hit a homerun with this recipe, as usual :) Couldn't find grapeseed oil though so I used canola - tasted fine. I made ours with sauteed green beans and fried potatoes & onions, but will probably try with slaw and sandwich next time.

    I am so happy with how easy this recipe was to put together - and I really appreciated having most all of the ingredients on hand!! My family was blown away by how great the flavors were and I know that coleslaw recipe will be asked for again and again. Keep up the great work!

    Amazing beefy flavor!! & best coleslaw EVER!

    This is my husbands new favorite dinner, & he's a former chef, so not easy to impress. My foreign in-laws ate with us, & they thought this was one of the best meals they've ever had in America (again, picky; they've spent lots of time in France & have had some great meals to compare). I want to thank Aaron so much because though in a way this meal is "barbecue"-like (pulled meat sandwich, coleslaw), it is totally true to the beef flavor, with no fake barbecue sauce flavor. I also really appreciate that pulled meat sandwich experience made available to those of us who don't eat pork. The coleslaw ROCKS! I usually hate coleslaw, but this version is fresh, crunchy & the perfect balance of tangy & sweet. Make it on it's own just for a picnic or something. It is so good I would recommend never using another coleslaw recipe, only this. Also it's well written & the proportions are easy to follow.Do not omit hot sauce or pinch of cayenne- you really cannot feel any spiciness, they just add that little something "extra." Do go for the coleslaw on top of the beef inside if the sandwich, seems weird, but is so yummy!! I did modify beef slightly to cook in crockpot (I don't have a good Dutch oven pan): cut beef stock to 1/4 cup, & reduced onion/wine mixture w/ further cooking to an almost syrup like state, & subbed dry thyme for fresh (crockpot issue); then cook on low 6-8 hr or high 3-4. I used Kaiser rolls (the best I could find), as my grocery store did not have challah rolls. I don't recommend serving with beef "jus": too rich/fatty. And if it takes time to shred beef, you may want to rewarm it just before putting it in the sandwich. Make this tonight! It is such a winner! Thanks Aaron for making my whole family so happy at dinner last night!! Michelle in CA

    My kids really enjoyed this, my husband and I also thought it was good. The cole slaw really makes a good sandwich better. We enjoyed this sandwich, but Big Daddy's Daspot Chicken Sandwich was much more exciting!

    Big Daddy, You are the best!!! This sandwhich was delicious, and the cole slaw the best. I am so glad that I didn't allow the one negative comment of this recipe to hinder me from giving this a try. I will definitely make this again! Richard what are you talking about!!! Please use another venue to do your campaigning. I won't dare tell you what you sound like! Good job Aaron, keep them coming.

    I made this for my family and friends and it was awesome. I did sub a bit more beef stock as we do not cook with wine, and added 3 bay leaves. Mmmmm.... so full of flavor! This one is a keeper.

    Wow! great taste. Easy to make. I made it for dinner today and my family loved it. Something different for dinner. I did leave out the jalapeno pepper as my son is not crazy about heat in his food. I upped the hot sauce a bit instead. I love short ribs and this recipe will be a great addition to my others. Thanks, keep them coming.

    I agree with everyone else. Very good. I added more beef stock in place of the wine as we don't care for wine in food. Also, had to cook longer. 90 minutes not enough to get tender. I love the slaw!!!!! Great recipe!

    I doubled the recipe and added four cloves of garlic (chopped) and four carrots and served it over egg noodles. Not just for a sandwich anymore! My family absolutely loved this recipe.

    My husband is the primary cook in the family and I gave him the recipe after watching you take a bite of those ribs. I have to say we were not disappointed at all. We LOVED it and have since fixed this recipe three times since watching the episode. While each time he made them he did a few tweeks its still your recipe that gave him the start to cooking great short ribs every single time. I love everything you cook so keep it the great recipes coming! Your fan foever!!!
