Fried Lasagna Bites
Disappointing
Hubby and I made these together adn even with 2 people the time it took was not worth the end result. I used my own marinara sauce, so that did save some time. They seemed heavy and drier than we had hoped. Maybe if we had added ore chesse, but I still do not think it would have complensated for the heaviness after being fried. I gave it a 3 becasue we had extra of the stuffed manicotti and used that as a traditional manicotti with marinara and chesse baked together.

Yummy & Awesome
I made this recipe yesterday for a dinner my husband and I were having for my mother-in-law's birthday. It turned out really great!!! I used chicken instead of beef. She loved it and so did we. I didn't think it was that time consuming, but then again my husband was helping me in the kitchen:) Great Recipe, and super delicious!!! Everybody enjoyed it!!!

Worth the time
These were time consuming but worth it. The flavor was so good! I tried making these lasagna bites AND the chicken pot pie soup all in one night and was very frustrated because of the time it took. Won't cook both at the same time again lol.

Wish I could bake them instead of deep frying!
This also took me @ 2 hrs. to make. Exhausting, but well worth it! Combined the bread crumbs and flour was only mistake I made but it still was delicious. Aaron mentioned that we could bake them, but waiting to see if anyone else bake instead of deep fryed! would definetely make again!!

Great Bites!
I made these for my husband who is a big guy and really likes "stick to your bones" food. He really enjoyed the bites and so did my 8 year old. I used sour cream instead cottage cheese because it was what I had on hand and it still turned out great. This recipe is right up there with the chicken ball recipe from an earlier show! Great job Big Daddy!

Time Consuming
This was extremely time consuming and the recipie not followed exactly on the show- the garlic added to the marinara. Overall was good, but ended up with way more filling and not enough sauce. It took over 2 hours to make and was not what I expected. It was good, not great.

Discrepancy between the show and the written recipe
All, Last night I tried to make these and was reminded by my boyfriend that Aaron didn't cook that meat mixture before he put it in the shells and fried it. It seems that no one else had problems but did anyone else notice that? I am going to try this again though.

Good spin on an Italian classic
This recipe took my girlfriend and I about 2hrs as well but well worth the wait. We decided to substitute ricotta for the cottage cheese and next time we may substitute pasta sheets for the manicotti shells. Filling the shells was difficult. We started with spoons then moved to measuring spoons then decided to put the filling in a zip-lock bag and squeeze it the in to the shells. It was effective but still very messy. We have left overs for at least for two days. Well Done Big Daddy

Good but so long
The end result of this recipe was wonderful. I am dying for the repeat of this episode to come on, because it took us HOURS, literally, to make this recipe. It took almost 2 hrs! We did use fresh mozzarella and next time I would use pre-shredded, but other than that, not many ways to speed it up.

YUMMY!!!!
Me and my husband love Aaron since day1 of next iron chef. Huge fans! The only things we changed in this recipe were fresh pasta sheets from our local italian grocer(so much easier, less breakage and so much yummier) added garlic(around 3-5 cloves) and instead of cottage cheese we did ricotta also we used italian breadcrumbs. Thank you Aaron you've been an inspiration!!

Love Big Daddy's House
The lasagna bites are just one of my favorites! What I like most about BDH's is the easy access to everyday ingredients that you can find in your local market. Everything that I've made from his show was a huge hit! Thanks Big Daddy, keep the recipes coming!!

Awesome appetizer
I thought I would try this to share with a cooking Bible Study for my ladies. It was a hit! It was so easy and they came out great. I left out the cottage cheese and added more shredded cheese and it was still delicious. I highly recommend this recipe and it also looked great on the plate!
