  these were so tasty; instead of two cups of flour, I used one cup of corn meal and one cup of flour....looking forward to trying the fish and broccoli slaw recipe

  These were very good. I did use Mex. chorizo because I had that and no Andouille, but never the less, just great. Cassandra, shame on you for marking it down. You said it was missing something and then said you omitted the sausage because your husband can't eat pork. DAH! Maybe the missing thing was the SAUSAGE? Don't mark it down if you eliminated a key ingredient; just make it w/o sausage.

  These fritters were so easy to make and are just so tasty. Have made them twice and everyone LOVED them. I use more of the andouille and it makes a difference. Thanks Aaron, you are the best.

  They were easy to make and freeze well too. I substituted salami and they were very tasty. The recipe does make more than 8 fritters.

  i made this last night and it was just okay. It seemed to be missing something, other than the sausage I didn't use b/c my husband doesn't eat pork. I have a few left so I will try it with a little syrup.

  The thyme made the fritters. Next time I would add more andouille and do a rough chop to the pieces. All in all not bad for my first fritter frying experience!

  I have been playing around with making corn cakes, corny corn bread, so it was great to discover this recipe which is a great combination of both! Thanks Aaron, like so many of your other's, this one is yummy!
