I followed the recipe exactly and have cooked scones before. I feel there is some confusion between scones and biscuits. I think I will try it as a biscuit next.

Excellent savory scones! Made these for Sunday brunch and they were perfect... a huge hit even with my pancake-loving 11-year old! Will definitely make again, maybe for Easter dinner. Thanks Aaron- you rock!

Dang Aaron, you are ridiculous! I made these for Thanksgiving and they are crazy good. I did need to add some more buttermilk for moisture. I doubled mine but did not double the amount of pepper or onions and it was perfect. So good to make our leftover Turkey sandwiches on instead of sliced bread, yum.

Pretty good, not spectacular but good. Maybe a little dry; it's a good idea, worth to play around with.

I used "40% less sodium bacon" and these turned out perfect. These will be great frozen to pull out for a quick breakfast.

Everyone seemed to like these scones. I might have used a little less salt but all in all, they were flavorful.

very easy to make - we substituted turkey bacon (nicely crisped in the microwave and chives instead of green onions - and added a touch of rosemary. GREAT texture and flavor. Many thanks, Aaron - we really enjoy it.

I made these last night for dinner. I am giving it 4 stars because I think the faults I have with it are due to my own modifications. I cut the recipe in half because it was just for my husband and I. They were pretty good, but I think the modification may have thrown off the flavors a little. I agree that they are a bit salty, especially with the bacon and cheese so next time I might leave the salt out. Also, I found them a bit tangy, I think this is from the buttermilk. I might make them with regular milk next time to see if that helps. Overall, very yummy, excellent consistency, and good savory flavor. I had one for breakfast this morning and it was still soft and flaky! I will make them again!

Too salty, too peppery and too much buttermilk but definitely a repeat. Next time will use less of each.
