This is the best cobbler I have ever made and eaten. It is perfection plus and easy to assemble. Lots of apple filling with just enough crust.

This is the best apple cobbler recipe I've found. No need to look further - I'm making it again today. It reminds me of my grandmother's cobbler, it's easy, and it's sweet enough while some cobblers aren't. The best!

This is perfect the way it is. The sauce the apple mixture produces is amazing. It's like eating caramel. We could not find ginger candy, so we did get experience the whipped cream. We are not big ice cream people either, and we thought it was just fine by itself. Maybe next time.

I made this dessert for our Memorial Day Weekend and it was delicious, I accidently forgot to add the brown sugar so I just threw it on top of the cobbler about 15 minutes into the cooking process and it turned out to be fantastic it gave the topping a crunchy top and even my husband liked it and he doesn't eat the crust on anything. I will make this dish again. Thanks Big Daddy!

Usually cobblers and pies are not sweet enough for me and I have to had a little more sugar. However, this one was great. No extra sugar needed. Thanks, Big Daddy!

I will admit, it is quick and easy not to mention good but there are a couple of improvements that need to be addressed.
First, this recipe calls for way too much sugar and it is not required. Reduce the white sugar by half. Add a couple of tablespoons of butter in with the apples and or 1/3 cup of water.
As far as the crust, again, reduce the sugar by half. It's not needed.. I found that it is better to slightly spread the batter out a little before baking. It will still spread when baking. Wrap foil over the dish and bake 20 minutes. Remove foil and finish baking another20 minutes until the crust is golden.
I used two different types of apples and it was awesome. I think I may slightly cook down the apples for a couple of minutes before baking. I felt the apples were still too firm. All in all a great dish!
