I've made plenty of Apple Pies in the past and this is by far the best I've made. A bit sweet but my son and I agreed, it was so much better than McDonald's Apple Pies, this is a keeper!

This recipe was easy to make and I couldn't believe how flavorful it was! It tasted like I had been baking all day to come up with this one!! Definitely a keeper. Next time I'm going to double it and serve it with Sunday dinner. Aaron is going to make a cook out of me yet! Keep up the good work.

I made this last-minute for an unexpected dinner party I was told I was giving. *g* All I can say is that the initial ooos and aaahhhhs at the first bite were only surpassed by the utter silence that reigned until every bowl was scraped clean. Like others, I had to resort to powdered ginger for the whipped cream. I used about 1/2 tsp and it gave it a nice little bite. The only thing I'd change in the recipe is the amount of sugar mixed with the apples, which I'm going to drop to 1/4C (white sugar next time. I found it a bit sweet, but I really like to taste APPLES in apple dishes. There will *absolutely* be a "next time," however, and I'm going to send this recipe to quite a few of my friends and my adult son.

I dont like peach cobbler so I really wanted to do something with apples. This recipe was excellent! The crust was sinfully delicious. I doubled the ingredients to make more for my family and they finished it off with ice cream before the nite was over!!!
